Fundraiser for Isaac Bonewits is Set

As announced on the Vidgle blog last week, Jeff Mach and among others are planning a fundraiser for Isaac Bonewits. This morning, it was announced that a day and time has been set!
The event is going to be held on August 29, 2010 at 7PM at the Radisson Piscataway in Piscataway, NJ, where Steampunk World’s Faire is held.
The fundraiser is going to be not only a benefit concert, it will also be a place to socialize and to have fun. Performances of Gypsy Nomads and the White Elephant Burlesque. Society. Isaac’s son Arthur will also be coming to the event.
The event is being held by Turtle Hill Events, and the same people who organize Fire of Venus, The Beltane Gathering, Wicked Faire, Steampunk World’s Fair and Midsummer Magick Faire.
This will be the second fundraiser for Isaac. In December, Jeff Mach ran an event called “Halloween in December” to help fund Isaac’s hospital bill. It was held the same night as a blizzard brought in over 3 feet of snow in the tri-state area.
Bonewits passed away last week, surrounded by his family. He suffered a rare form of colon cancer.
The entry fee for the event is $15, but much more will be greatly appreciated.
