Is a Sonic Drive-In on Long Island Worth It?

Is a Sonic Drive-In on Long Island worth the excitment? Word broke out earlier this summer that a Sonic (for short) is coming to Babylon, but is it with it? Meaning that, would “you” be going to it at least twice a month. And if so, “would you get tired of it?”
Friends of mine have been demanding for a Sonic for years now because of Sonic’s national ad spot on cable channels. Some said “if there is no Sonic near me why are their ads coming to my house?” Some even said that in my mass communication classes. And of course I explained that Sonic is advertising at a national level on cable channels instead of placing ads on local TV stations or local cable providers? With the advertising campaign, did it help make Sonic grow? I would say “yes” because it brought the company in demand in certain areas of the country, such as Long Island.
Going on trips to a Sonic while driving to a destination is worth the excitment and makes a perfect “rest stop.” Some of my friends even made road trips just to go to a Sonic in Pennsylvania, when they weren’t any in New Jersey instead of stopping along the way.
My first Sonic made everyone mad. I went to the one outside Hershey, PA and all I ordered was a Sprite. Months later, I went to one outside of my house in Tampa, FL. There were three within a 20 minute range, the closet Sonic closed last year. I later went to one in Mesa, AZ while attending Saboten-Con and seeing my uncle in the hospital; the Sonic was actually located across the street from the hospital. Then a few days later, I brought reporters Fred and Louis to their first Sonic during our trip in Valley Forge, PA for Zenkaikon. Other trips this year that we went out of the way for a Sonic was Setsucon in State College, PA (stopped in Hershey, PA) and Otakon in Baltimore, MD (stopped at Bensalem, PA).
When going to Sonic with my cousin when staying in Florida for several weeks, it wasn’t as exciting as going on a “road trip.” So would this “excitement last forever” for fans of Sonic on Long Island?
